"The View" was chock full of extra goodness on Tuesday, July 13. "American Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken was a host and Bret Michaels was a guest. The highlight of the episode is when Clay Aiken engages in a discussion of children being self-centered and selfish and his observation is, "Some kids are a**holes." The reactions of the other ladies is priceless, particularly Whoopi.
Like it or love it, the 'Rants' could dissected and discussed until you are green, but this mornings episode was heated and the gust-host Clay Aiken didn't appear entirely interested in coming to any conclusion.Starting in the conversation comfortably, the debate about the entire situation became heated about 3/4 a way in during the 5 minutes of the segment and the passion from Whoopi Goldberg was extremely obvious. Talking over each other, the ladies discussed scenarios all the while Clay was relatively quiet with his hands in his lap looking like he was wishing the segment was over.Aiken was moving around in his chair and messing with his cards as every time he tried to talk he was over talked by one of the ladies. While Mel Gibson's rants was definitely a hot topic, the show should invite Clay Aiken back so he too can say a few words.
