I agree, maybe Clay really doesn't like the song.  I have no problem with him singing what he likes and feels comfortable with.  It's his show, so he gets to choose. :

That was awesome. Thanks so much Pamela and Dudley and all the other cellcert contributors.

I'm not as surprised that he didn't sing Touch as I am that he didn't sing The Way. I thought he liked that song!

If he didn't like the song THAT much, why is it on his album?  I need to hear an explanation as to why he doesn't like the song.  If he DARES to say its because its too suggestive, then I maintain that he is a hypocrite.  I am just very disappointed in him.  I thought he cared more about what his fans wanted.  How can he hate a song THAT much?  I mean, could he be more blatant?  It is the ONLY song off MOAM he didn't sing at either concert!

Maybe he's not who I think he is.  I know I may sound ridiculous.  Its just a song.  But to me his not singing it is an indication of something more.

CJR: I KNOW THAT WE ALL HAVE VARYING OPINIONS,BUT I JUST FEEL THE NEED TO DEFEND CLAY HERE. THIS WAS HIS FIRST SOLO CONCERT. HE MUST H AVE WORKED ON THIS FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS. AND HE CERTAINLY HAS A RIGHT TO PICK  HIS FAVORITE SONGS TO SING. HE  GIVES US EVERYTHING WE WANT AND MORE. YES, I LIKE THE SONG TOUCH ALSO, AND IF HE HAD CHOSEN TO SING IT WE WOULD ALL HAVE BEEN THRILLED...BUT AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED ,HE COULD SING ME NOTHING BUT THE TELEPHONE BOOK FOR 2 HOURSK AND I WOULD JUST BE HAPPY THAT HE WAS THERE.   I'S SURE THAT THERE ARE TIME RESTRICTIONS,ETC. AND HE WANTED TO GIVE US SOME NEW MATERIAL LIKE THE U-W,TOTO.AND JAMES TAYLOR SONGS. I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR THEM....AND IF PERHAPS CLAY JUST PLAIN DID NOT WANT TO INCLUDE THAT SONG FOR WHATEVER REASON, I ONLY ADMIRE HIM MORE FOR STICKING TOHIS CONVICTIONS AND BEING THE MESURE OF A MAN THAT HE IS. WOW!!! I think I am speechless - well almost anyway!!!

Thank you so much Pamela for organizing this group cellcert and dudley and everyone else for sharing all the wondrous moments of what looks to  be the concert to end all concerts ( at least until his next one)

Claymaniacs is such an amazing board, full of thoughtful caring people from all walks of life and experience.

I am so proud to be part of this extended family.

DID I MISS IT???

Actually, I've been reading all of your posts for hours and hours and hours!!  Really, just a while.  You guys are a scream!  I think that all this dialogue could be a comedy radio show!!

Did someone say they wanted him to sing  TOUCH?

Did someone want to touch those SOFT BLUE JEANS?

Was his shirt really STRIPED?

Did I read something about  being CLAYED AT A CLORGY?

Special thanks to Pamela, Dudley, LiftClayUp, and Bisi for bringing us the CONCERT!  I really felt like I was there.  I am so looking forward to the three that I will get to see all in one week in September.

Best things:
Rosanna. Run to Me. Solitarie as encore. EVERYTHING. Program. Interaction with back-up singers. James Taylor set. We completely, absolutely loved everything. He was in incredible voice. He was HAPPY, JOYFUL. He talked to KAndre. He changed things up but they stayed the same. The program is beautiful.


Impressions:
Run to me was fantastic, outfits changes were fantasic, when he was looking at KAndre, I felt he was looking at me too....oh yeah; he kept raising his arms and seeing tummy. We are going to post this and upload picture. He's gonna lei someone at every concert.
