Title: CLAY IN CONCERT AND YOU!
Post by: Prissy on November 21, 2004, 07:16:55 AM
Hello!
It may be a little early to get this thread going again, but the Clay tour dates for the summer of 2007 are starting to appear. And, yes, it looks like he has decided to come back to Texas again after about a 3 year absence!!
The only tour I have missed is this last Christmas tour (2006); so I will be glad to be adding to my Clay Concert list again soon.
Here's hoping :cross that Clay will have a concert at a venue near you!
:clayfan :clayfan :clayfan :clayfan :clayfan :clayfan :clayfan :clayfan
(2006)
Hello!
We are reviving this thread for those of you who are seeing Clay's Christmas concert(s) with the symphonies this winter, 2006. It's hard to believe it has been a year since a Clay tour!! I hope you will scroll through and find your original post, click on modify and add your new concerts to your list. This is just a way to keep up with our Clayings!! :bigsmile
(2005)
Hello!
Pamela's new Poll about how many times you have traveled to see Clay concerts reminded me of this thread. You may want to check out your original list to see how many times you have seen Clay. Also, I believe that some of you have plans for the JNT II concert(s). I'm sure you will want to add them to your list!
(2004)
Original post:
Many of you have had the good fortune to see Clay in Concert multiple times. I know this because you gave me the information for your birthday poems. When I wrote these poems, I was unable to list each specific concert for some of you because there were so many. (I tried to, at least, give the number of concerts you had seen.)
I thought this thread would be a good place for you to let others know where and when you have seen Clay in Concert. Include the AI2 concert, the Independent Tour, the Solo Tour, the Joyful Noise Tour, the Jukebox tour, and any future concerts by Clay.
Some of you have seen him perform on Ryan's show, Jimmy Kimmell, Jay Leno, etc. Include these appearances, too.
It will be fun and interesting to see where all some of you have traveled to see Clay. Just start your list, or click on to MODIFY on your original list and add your concerts to it.
NEW IDEA!! IF YOU HAVE HAD A MEET & GREET OR SANG OR DANCED WITH CLAY, WHY NOT PUT IT BY THAT SPECIFIC CONCERT IN YOUR LIST!!
Here is my list:
AI2 Tour:
Dallas, TX - Aug. 19, 2003
Independent Tour:
Grand Prairie, TX - March 19, 2004
Solo Tour:
Houston, TX - Sept. 7, 2004
Grand Prairie, TX - Sept. 8, 2004
Hutchinson, KS - Sept. 10, 2004
Charlotte, NC - Oct. 16, 2004
Joyful Noise Tour:
Phoenix, AZ - Dec. 29, 2004
Jukebox Tour:
Atlanta, GA - Aug. 2, 2005
Greenville, SC - Aug. 3, 2005
Cary, NC - Aug. 5, 2005
Joyful Noise Tour II
Kansas City, MO - Nov. 19, 2005 (I finally saw Clay at the buses and he touched my hand!)
An Evening With Clay Aiken Tour
Frisco, TX - July 4, 2007 ( :wheee I have a Meet and Greet!!!!!)
Houston, TX - July 6, 2007
Knoxville, TN - Aug. 12, 2007 (Great preparty with many Claymaniacs!)
Christmas Tour, 2007
Wichita, KS - Nov. 26, 2007
Champions of Change Gala
Raleigh, NC - Oct. 17, 2009
(It has been two years since a Clay concert!!)
All of these concerts were wonderful, but the week of traveling for Clay's Jukebox Tour was so much fun. Not only seeing Clay, but getting to meet so many fantastic Clay fans and Claymaniacs, too.

Well here's my list!!
I didn't make it to any of the AI concerts, not because I didn't want to but because I was working a full-time summer job where my hours changed every other week, and if I took any days off I would be fired. :duh
This one isn't a concert, but I'll put it anyway:
Disney Christmas Taping (Sometime in November)
Miami Jingle Ball Jam (December 14, 2003)
Independent Tour:
Anaheim, CA (April 3, 2004)
St. Paul, MN (April 16, 2004)
Solo Tour
Sioux Falls, SD (July 9, 2004)
Appleton, WI (July 10, 2004)
Des Moines, IA (August 15, 2004)
Rockford, IL (August 23, 2004)
St. Paul, MN (August 26, 2004)
Milwaukee, MN (August 27, 2004)
Charlotte, NC (October 16, 2004)
Raleigh, NC (October 18, 2004 3:00)
Raleigh, NC (October 18, 7:30)
Joyful Noise Tour
Chicago, IL (December 20, 2004)
(Wish I could go to more)

You all remember dates and everything, I'm impressed!
American Idol
Raleigh NC
Charlotte NC
Independent Tour
Raleigh NC
Winston Salem NC
Charlotte NC
Solo Tour
Greensboro NC
Charlotte NC
Greenville SC
Bethlehem PA
Raleigh NC x2
Joyful Noise 04
Raleigh NC
Jukebox Tour
Greenville, SC
Cary, NC
Wolf Trap, Vienna, VA
Joyful Noise 05
Camden, NJ
Washington, DC
Raleigh, NC
Symphonic Christmas
Greensboro, NC
Soft Rock and a Hard Place
Cary, NC
Asheville, NC
Knoxville, TN
Grand Total = 22
I also saw Clay sing at the Carolina Hurricane hockey match last December and the UNCC basketball game in January.
The Raleigh AI show was special because I was on the front row, it was the first time I ever saw Clay sing live, I was an Invisible virgin, and it was a heartwarming homecoming for him.
The Charlotte Indie show was special because it was the first show of that tour and Moonshot, Sundancer and I were in prime real estate as Clay walked right by us singing Kyrie. We also saw WDC for the first time and the acoustic set which was beautiful.
The Greenville solo show was special. Clay was in good voice, his rendition of Solitaire killed me dead, Lainey got touched by Clay twice and Mack got her armpit groped.
:lmao eeeeeeeee!
Thanks for enabling the flashbacks Prissy!
