Recap of the Silent Auction.......

Just got back from the silent auction. It was spectacular! Mobs of Claymates plus a few husbands were in attendance. The room was filled with assorted goodies. I bid for two items, but I kept getting outbid, and finally gave up. The special CD was up for auction here, starting at $2500. It currently has 2 bids, but I suspect CV is waiting until the last minute to put their bid in. I'm hoping they win it, because it will be in their vault where we can all hear it. It's a brand new song by Clay that none of us have ever heard.
I also bought 6 raffle tickets and put them all in the basket to win 2 free gold tickets to next year's Gala. The raffle will go off at tonight's Gala Dinner. The raffle tickets could also be put in baskets for beautiful diamond
earrings or a lovely large pic of Clay. The gold ticket basket, my choice, had about 4 times the tickets in it as the other two put together. Just my luck! AngryBUT, maybe I'll get lucky & win it anyway. Bliss2
I'll tell you the most wonderful story from last night: One of the gals who won the 28K dinner for 10 was Poison Ivy,. Anyway, she's already paid the full amount for it and intends to invite 9 fans who've never been to a Clay dinner and could never afford it. It will be totally at her expense! Is that not the most wonderful gesture? Clap
I'll tell you more after tonight's Gala. Keep your fingers crossed that I win the raffle.
