Because Gwenn asked about Betty, I'm bringing this over from the OCD:
I just called Betty again - I knew today was her eye appointment (her monthly eye injection), but did not know what time (she is being picked up by Senior transportation at 12:30 her time - she is in the Eastern time zone). Since she is using Senior transportation, she said that she may not get home until around 5 p.m. She said Corina continues to have a rough time - Betty had hoped that she would be coming home tomorrow, but it does not look as though she will be able to do that now. I told her that I hope they keep Corina in the hospital until she is really feeling better - sometimes they send people home too early. She mentioned that Corina's doctor is sending her for an additional CT scan.
Cornina has had a serious intestinal surgery.
Clay content - he can be one irritating man, but he sure can sing.

FRANKIE, thanks for posting this Betty/Corina update over here. I know several people here on CM are good friends with her, as well.
And yes, Clay can sing, but he can be irritating as he##, at times.

It was just posted on WRAL.com that Clay Aiken is selecting a political team, and will more than likely file next month to run for Congressman in the 2 nd district. Killer good looking picture. Don't read the comments. They are not to complimentary.

Good luck to him.
Anytime I read the comments posted after a news story of just about any kind, I'm disheartened at the lack of depth, intelligence, and/or compassion of the majority of those who post. Not only are these people shallow; they also seem to like to brag about it.

Another good article posted out of Wash DC (Pg 87 CV)..Could not get the link to work... Also used a thudworthy picture from concert with David Foster. Sure am glad no one in the media has found that horrible Jenna Bush picture.

I TRULY WISH HIM LUCIK BECAUSE I THINK HE WOULD BE SO WONDERFUL AS A CONGRESSMAN. I REALLY HOPE PEOPLE ACTUALLY LISTEN TO HIM AND NOT JUST MAKE STUPID ASSUMPTIONS. HE HAS A LOT TO OFFER.
AS FOR THE COMMENTS---I NEVER READ THEM. MOST OF THE TIME IT IS FOLKS WITH NOTHING TO DO. NEGATIVITY MAKES SMALL MINDS THINK BETTER OF THEMSELVES. MY MOM USED TO SAY, IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY, SAY NOTHING AT ALL. BESIDES, THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO MATTER IN THIS ARE THE ONES VOTING.

There was a good segment on Clay tonight on the WRAL 5:00-5:30 evening news . They used footage from the interview that the thudworthy picture was taken from.
I will just say I know that Clay is happy, and I will be truthful, but I must admit I AM NOT..in fact I am sad. I WOULD RATHER BE GOING TO A CLAY AIKEN CONCERT ,THAN TO A HEARING ON CAPITAL HILL.
I wish him the best of luck ,and will be pulling for him to win,but all the people that have approached me about it,always make smirky remarks ,so I think he will have a uphill battle to deal with, but I'm sure he is well aware of that. I just hope that when he does announce that people will listen to what he has to say with open minds.
Guess I better duck now..those FROZEN tomatoes would hurt.

Greta van Susteren announced it on her show just minutes ago.
Here's an article from
WASHINGTON TIMES
I've read a couple of other articles. More than once, someone said they wondered if people would take Clay seriously. WHAT??? I guess they don't know Clay. This article wonders if the people who bought all those albums will vote for him.
Wish I could.
