Clay was in awesomely rare form tonight! I loved every minute, oh wait... not the drunken fan two seats in front of me, but Clay was so funny with her. But she just would. not. shut. up. I was so pleasantly (sp) suprised to find out I was sitting next to Vamom and cindyanne He couldn't do the opening scene where he comes out in front of the curtain waiting for the music that doesn't start, simply because there was no curtain. The whole orchestra and piano were squeezed into this tiny area, which was great for all of us because Clay was in front of all of them almost at the edge of the stage the entire time. I think there were only 15 members of the orchestra tonight. Like last night, his voice was like warm melted caramel. When he was introducing What are you doing News Years Eve was when he said to the men to cuddle up with your lady and this song was meant to have them get lucky tonight. That's when he said they had to do what he couldn't do for these lovely ladies. He started laughing so hard and tried to start the song and couldn't stop laughing. He turned around and said sexy face and turned back to us and eye f****d us all. I turned to my friend and said ...Yep that did it for me.... Such a great time. I wish I was going to Lakeland, but am not, so I will be glued to the computer watching for the 'red' reports.

"Sexy Face" Banter & "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve," Clearwater by Scarlett.
Includes just the banter prior to "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve" and "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve" not the interaction with the female in the audience just prior to it.

On my friends netbook since I managed to leave my tablet charger in WPB--at least I can type better on this. I thought all 3 concerts have been great but truly each one has been a bit better. I did sit next to a NJU and her DH the first night. She proclaimed beautiful after almost every song. She raised her hand when he asked the audience to do so if it was their first show. I know someone else reported this was said by someone they sat next to but I don't think this was the same person since the couple I sat next to were on the aisle. This evening I was there with clayzedover , my cousin Donna who is visiting from Vermont and her Mom. I really don't know how much Donna knows about Clay but she asked at the end how long had it been since he was on Teen Idol I know she has never seen him live before. She was whooping it up with the best of us and loved the show. Thought he had a great voice, was very funny and had lots of charisma
My aunt who is more sedate said she loved it. She did see the Tried and True tour with me down here and liked it, but enjoyed this much more--I was pretty sure she would. MCWL is the only Clay cd she listens to. I didn't get to talk to them much before or after the show since I'm not staying with them tonight, but will spend the next couple of days with them before heading home Wed. It's always especially fun to get to see someone see him for the first time and clearly get it. I hope we can talk about the show more tomorrow but I don't want to push it. I try to keep my fangirliness at a pretty low level with family. I do have to admit when the first reading starting Donna did lean over to me and "What's this about?" I just said he'll explain it later. I told her I would be needing a bathroom break when the 2d one started and she said "I'm coming with you".
I am thrilled and so lucky that I have more shows to look forward to. I have no problem with the set list. I've missed hearing them live the last few years. Many of them have arrangements that have been changed. These are all songs that Clay clearly has very special feelings for and I'm happy his is sharing them with us. I haven't been able to keep up with all of the discussion the last few days but my sense is that there is not a positive reaction toward the readings. I have to be honest I didn't care for them all that much and I feel the same now but what does it amount to--maybe 10 minutes of the whole show? I can't see how it could be a dealbreaker for anyone. I also think it's kind of cute that Clay is giving us costume changes, I don't understand the objections. He's going to use that time to get off the stage and give his voice a break why not provide us with a little treat by showing off different outfits.
I'd like to get to the next show but I have to spend time with family--my visit with them is pretty short as it is' but I'm looking forward to seeing his shows next weekend. I want to hear him sing those beautiful songs again and I want to see how he continues to refine his schtick. He is such a Joy!

Last one uploaded overnight/earlier this morning by Scarlett I *think* she's taking the day off but I could be mistaken.
