Clay's voice is strong - maybe because DM is within 15 feet!!! (He's being snarky - I didn't hear what he said, but DM laughed!!)

Clay also said that Ben was the one who suggested Clay perform. Seems Ben has a friend at the concert place and they were trying to find someone who would be popular to help after a year of no concerts.

"As long as the last note's big" .... That's what I did on Idol (mentions BOTW). "At the end of it there's this big. loud, high note, ... and Randy Jackson said "Man dog I didn't know you could hit that note" and literally 30 minutes earlier I sang this song, which hit that note":

That's it! DM and Dancerdad were discussing whether to try to stay for the next show, but I think feet were put down on that. The traffic was horrible. She'll tell us later what he looked like (we already saw at least one picture, right?) She said (in a disapproving tone of voice) that his hair was slicked back.

Something About Us He sounds wonderful!

Before this one he sang "The Sun Going Down on Me." Said that he was probably going to mess it up. He did not mess up. Made me weepy.
Now singing "Its Impossible."

"A Place For Us." (he just called someone, (Ben) a "dumb shit" in fun, "said is that all I get?" for not giving him enough chords to start the song. He got some laughs. He did it lovingly.

Saying that Randy Jackson was wrong when he said that Bridge Over Troubled Water was the highest note Clay had sung so far. Clay said that some of the songs he sang on Idol had higher notes.
