Clay Aiken: Celebs exposed in nude pics ‘deserve what they get’

Clay Aiken, the American Idol runner-up turned congressional candidate in North Carolina, doesn’t feel much sympathy for celebrities whose personal nude photos were leaked on the internet.
“Anybody who takes inappropriate pictures of themselves deserves exactly what they get,” Aiken said in an interview with our colleague Ben Terris, who just wrote an excellent profile of Aiken.
That’s not to say that the former pop singer condones the release by unknown hackers of the cache of nude photos, including some of celebrities Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst, Avril Lavigne, Lea Michele, McKayla Maroney and Ariana Grande.
“Of course whoever [stole and released the photos] should should be hogtied,” he added. “And it’s unfortunate that we don’t have Internet security right now or the laws in place to protect people from pirating that stuff.”
Good thing he’s running for Congress then?
And the wannabe lawmaker has a suggestion for those tempted to snap pics of their naughty bits: “I’ve got a mirror if I want to check something out,” Aiken said.

This is my brother Earl Mills and Clay Aiken that he's posing with. My brother graduated high school and still couldn't read and was well up in age before he joined a literacy program. Since joining he has learned to read, has become a motivational speaker for literacy, has published numerous books on poetry and travels to many different cities speaking. He's always trying to encourage someone to let them know it's not too late. Clay isn't the only person he's met, he's also had the privilege of meeting Barbara Bush. So proud of our brother and man of God!

From Raleigh:
The Founder's Reception was wonderful & hugely successful. There were 14 tables of 10...at 1K or 2.5K per seat. Everyone was dressed beautifully, and in a joyous party mood. Free beer and wine was served at the bar in back of the room and lovely trays of appetizers were out for everyone to help themselves. There was enough variety and quantity of food that there was no need for dinner before or after.
Before the program started, they sent one table at a time to have each of our pics taken individually with Clay & Diane. When it was my turn, Clay gave me a warm hello & then grabbed me around the waist & pulled me next to him. Diane came up on my other side & put her arm around me, but by now I was in the Aiken fog. I have no recollection of even smiling for the camera, but I imagine I did. And the next thing I remember is that I was back at my table. You've already seen gaymarie's wonderful pics, so you know how gorgeous Clay looked.
The program started with Aron introducing an autistic young man who drew the darling pic on our placemat type gift. It was of two cartoon characters shaking hands & saying, "Everybody need to be included. No one should ever feel left out". He then spoke, & he was absolutely both touching & delightful. Then Clay, Diane,& Zach, a board member, came on stage and answered pre-asked questions about NIP from the audience. Clay was charming and amusing, as always.
Then the auction for one dinner with Clay for 10. Clay wound up agreeing to 2 such dinners, for $28,000 each. You already know about the green shirt. The auction for the "CD of a song sung by Clay that none of us have ever heard" won't happen until tomorrow night. Also Clay did not sing AT ALL! The singing will also be tomorrow night. I suspect that was Clay's effort to make up for last year's fiasco.

What Clay said about the dinner........
He said that the newspapers are calling him fat, so the dinner being auctioned will be for salads. "Let's start at five dollars. Ten people and a head of lettuce." As the bidding went up, he said, okay, we'll make it spinach, maybe some celery.

Just got back from the silent auction. It was spectacular! Mobs of Claymates plus a few husbands were in attendance. The room was filled with assorted goodies. I bid for two items, but I kept getting outbid, and finally gave up. The special CD was up for auction here, starting at $2500. It currently has 2 bids, but I suspect CV is waiting until the last minute to put their bid in. I'm hoping they win it, because it will be in their vault where we can all hear it. It's a brand new song by Clay that none of us have ever heard.
I also bought 6 raffle tickets and put them all in the basket to win 2 free gold tickets to next year's Gala. The raffle will go off at tonight's Gala Dinner. The raffle tickets could also be put in baskets for beautiful diamond
earrings or a lovely large pic of Clay. The gold ticket basket, my choice, had about 4 times the tickets in it as the other two put together. Just my luck! AngryBUT, maybe I'll get lucky & win it anyway. Bliss2
I'll tell you the most wonderful story from last night: One of the gals who won the 28K dinner for 10 was Poison Ivy,. Anyway, she's already paid the full amount for it and intends to invite 9 fans who've never been to a Clay dinner and could never afford it. It will be totally at her expense! Is that not the most wonderful gesture? Clap
I'll tell you more after tonight's Gala. Keep your fingers crossed that I win the raffle.

I just got off the phone with Linda Turner..it was a wonderfully successful Gala.
Clay sang three songs///Bring Back My Love, Because You Loved Me and a new one they had not heard before...he walked around the room greeting the fans at each table
His voice was perfect and Linda said it really did make them tear up a bit because of missing hearing that voice so much. Just when you think you have resigned ones self to the possibility of not hearing that voice once again he goes and reaches deep into your heart once again and the emotions return. Just hearing about that did me in.
He did say "See You Next Year" that bodes well for 2015....

As you've read already, it was an amazing, touching, joyous evening! It couldn't have gone better. I was at a table up front & center. On my left was canfly and on my right was clayalways&forever! Across from me, at the same table were Roxie & cameocat. What FUN to be sitting with fellow CATs and getting better acquainted with these delightful gals!
Dinner was grand; A lovely green salad followed by steak & chicken for everyone else...a nice vegetarian eggplant parmigian [sp?]dinner for me.
The program started with young kids from a NIP camp doing gymnastics. The cutest part of their routine was the little boy weightlifter. He fell three times trying to lift up a weight consisting of a bar with a large balloon on each end. Then a little girl came on stage and just picked it up with one hand and carried it off to a laughing round of applause. Big GrinAron participated by juggling three balls quite nicely.
I'm going to send this piecemeal so I don't lose anything to the internet devil.
Clay wore a black suit, light blue shirt and purple & blue tie. He looked scrumptious! His hair was perfect & it looked like he slimmed down a bit. Everyone was so pleased that he circulated from table to table, greeting everyone so warmly and thanking us for attending. He's really learned how to work a room!
The honorees were all great, particularly two young sisters, 9 & 11, who dance together, one in a wheelchair, suffering from both cystic fibrosis and cerebral palsy.
Clay sang his three wonderful songs accompanied by a three piece band. His rendition of Bring Back My Love was MAGNIFICENT! The unknown song, "If it wasn't for your love" had an incredibly beautiful melody and words. He closed the evening with it, saying it was his thank you to us.
The raffle: I'm so sorry to report that I unexpectedly failed to win the 2 free Gala tiks for next year's Gala. Crying
My deepest apologies. But I'll try again next year, so don't give up hope. Curtsy
Linda Loveland did a great job MC'ing and Faye Parker gave a lovely presentation, and looked stunning. Linda said that NIP was the leading inclusion nonprofit in the country! How about that

At ice cream social. Clay is working the crowd and THIS is what he was meant to do. Medium blue cotton shirt w/rolled sleeves, khaki shorts (!), sneakers w/o socks, hair natural, freckles, GORGEOUS. FromClaygary walked back to follow him and he is being TOTALLY mobbed. When he saw me and FC, he slapped her knee, then shook my hand and said hi, I saw you yesterday. I don't think I'll be getting a selfie...and, really, this is all for the locals...I did have my pic with him Friday night. I assume he will speak after working the crowd. Pics to come from people here later, I assume.
