Clayperfect just called. The meet and greet is over and she is on cloud nine! That Aiken fog I guess. She's having a hard time remembering everything right now but here are a few tidbits.
He was wearing gray sweat pants, a gray Nebraska sweatshirt and gray tennis shoes. Hair parted on the side.
She said he was very, very happy.
A couple of them told Jerome they couldn't think of any questions and he said to think of some and Clay would stay longer - get him talking and he'll talk and talk.
He said this is his favorite tour of all. He loves it and he's not changing it. He figured out he can't please everybody so he has to do what's right for himself. That's not to say that he may not tweak the show somewhere down the line but he's very happy with it.
His lack of skating skills during the filming of the Christmas skating show was an act. He had to act like he couldn't skate for the cameras (we kindof knew that).
The whole time he's signing things he's talking a mile a minute.
One girls snarkily asked him why he was dressing "like that"? He replied snarkily, "Excuse me!" She said it's Christmas, you should be dressed up and he replied he didn't get dressed up until he had to. Clayperfect said they were cute going back and forth - all in good fun.
They had their pics made in front of a Christmas tree.
Do ya'll know who Moanica is? Well, Clayperfect took her little stuffed giraffe and asked Clay to hold Moanica for their picture. He said, "Oh yea, I know Moanica." She wrapped both arms around him and said he's not skinny and he's not fat - he's just right.
The whole thing lasted about 25 minutes.
The last thing she said was, "He's a hunk!"
After she comes down from her high she'll probably remember more. She did say there were no questions about the album or Spamalot.

Just wanted to drop in and say HI!! I am not going to stay because I have to get ready for my early morning flight. Will be in South Bend by around 9:30 their time.
Got almost no sleep last night...but, Meesa I PACKED LAST NIGHT!!!! All I have to put in is my makeup and jewelry!!
Didnt pack a single sweater or long sleeved top- I just get too hot!!
And of course, Clay would increase the heat factor.
Enjoy the cellcert- I will be in touch with Susy for the conference call tomorrow, if anyone is interested (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/marilyon/EMOTICONS/normalwave-1.gif)(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/marilyon/EMOTICONS/normalwave-1.gif)

First speaker is talking about when she was little, her sister and her got white go-go boots for Christmas. Her older sister got really sophisticated, grown up boots--she was very jealous. Then she talked about someone receiving a mini bike--not sure who it was. That afternoon her and her sisters tried on all their clothes with the new boots. They went outside and her father wanted someone to take a test drive on the new mini bike. The older sister said she would ride first so she could get it over with, with her fashion boots on. Mini bike lurched across the driveway and then drove into the shrubbery. Dirt, branches, leaves churned up. Little sister and her gasped trying to take in all the details of what had transpired. Sister bent down to check out her skinned knee and found that her beautiful new fashion boots had taken the brunt of the damage in the accident. ...not sure how they could carry on. The next morning, Mom took Big Sis to the mall where her sister got another pair of fashionable boots at 50% off. Speaker got to keep the damaged boots and, looking at them again, they didn't look that bad.

After her son died, she went home, drug the Christmas tree across the yard and threw it. By the next Christmas she tried to avoid Christmas. Heard songs on the radio, It's a Wonderful Life was on all the time. When someone said Merry Christmas to her she's mumble something. One of her son's friends told her he'd want her to decorate. She went to the closet where she stored the decorations, forgetting she'd thrown them all away. All that was there was a manger she'd had since her son was 6 years old and one plastic icycle. That's all she put out because it's all she had. As Christmas came she watched others and pasted a fake smile on her face. turned off her emotions. Better to feel nothing than to ruin everyone else's happy holiday. She bought gifts and attended gatherings. Found herself alone on Christmas day--just her and the nativity scene. In her grief, she fell on the nativity scene and realized she'd never really looked close at it. What she saw that day was the mother and the child and it touched her. She saw Mary as a young mother watching over her child and touched her blue robe and wondered about Mary as a mother watching her son grow. Found herself pouring out her heart to Mary--sharing her pain with her. I cried. I thought of all the other people in the same boat she was in. She realized she wasn't alone at all and she cried. Surrounded by a sense of peace she'd never known before. She had survived. The kind of love so strong it had helped Mary survive the loss of her son...

Tears are falling, hearts are breaking
How we need to hear from God
You've been promised, we've been waiting
Welcome Holy Child
Welcome Holy Child
Hope that you don't mind our manger
How I wish we would have known
But long-awaited Holy Stranger
Make Yourself at home
Please make Yourself at home
Bring Your peace into our violence
Bid our hungry souls be filled
Word now breaking Heaven's silence
Welcome to our world
Welcome to our world
Fragile finger sent to heal us
Tender brow prepared for thorn
Tiny heart whose blood will save us
Unto us is born
Unto us is born
So wrap our injured flesh around You
Breathe our air and walk our sod
Rob our sin and make us holy
Perfect Son of God
Perfect Son of God
Welcome to our world

The person that actually wrote the story read it last night.
No jumbotrons. Very classy place. Ceiling 40-50 feet high. Huge dome with huge chandelier. Crowd seems to be taking to Clay very well. Angela and Quianna are NOT on stage the whole time. When first storyteller is done, Quiana goes off stage. Angela is not on stage all the time. Moving around more tonight. More hand and mic action. More bended knee. More relaxed, more limber. More Clay. Hair a little flatter than last night.

Evidently Farouche was just as surprised- she got a phone call or something and was asked to read the same story- dont know from whom- but there you are.
Maybe Clay asked the woman to read it again, and maybe she wasnt going and maybe she asked Farouche to read it.
Clay knows Farouche from past encounters

She was using binoculars and he called her out during JNT06- then he said he knew her, and said her screen name. He had evidently had a meet and greet with her a year or so before- I think the name struck him. There is also clack of him trying and succeeding in remembering her name at the CD signing.

Bus driver last night--so cold--the bus driver looks like Elmer Fudd with flap hat and the next thing they know the lights are on front and he has paper towels and jacket off--but hat still on. Cameras are running freely tonight--and video. At first they said no cameras but they ignored it. LOL! Seen no flashes. Diamonds on girls--earrings on Angela are long and dangly. Each has diamond necklace and bracelet. Angela and Quianna get to keep them. Show will stay the same, clothes may change some but will remain black. Dresses identical except for straps--Quianna's has no straps. Stage set up like last night. Lights going down.
Lights going down ....
O Holy Night

(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/marilyon/EMOTICONS/normalwave-1.gif) Good evening, ladies. I'm multitasking...watching DWTS and following this cellcert.
Just wanted to comment on the second story that was repeated again this evening. I wouldn't mind if Clay were to have that story read during every concert throughout this tour. What a beautiful message---in my mind it captures the true meaning of Christmas.
MARILYN, enjoy South Bend. I still can't figure out why he didn't schedule a concert in South Bend the day before or after Kalamazoo. These two cities are very close to one another. Oh well, see you at Waukegan and Kazoo!!!! You too, BARBARA!!! I'm not sure, Sunny. I know a lot of people from the Chicago area (myself included) who would have attended both Kazoo and South Bend had they been on successive days. Then the same people could have caravaned back to Waukegan (which is just north of Chicago). Attendance might have been even greater than it is tonight. Besides, South Bend could draw students from Notre Dame and other No. Indiana schools, while Kazoo would draw Western Michigan U students. Oh, well I guess it's a moot point now.

I was raised in the 40's and 50's. ..black rubber boots...lie on blankets by the curb to watch the parade. On top of the float was a sleigh and 8 reindeer. Our tree came home later. Eventually wore it's coat of red and glass ornaments. Baby Jesus rested in his manger. Santa found their house and left presents. (this is breaking up so I can't hear this well) Samsonite overnight case...hold your horses! More gifts waiting with names attached on little tags but they couldn't open until they got their rosaries out (I think that's what she said). After gifts opened, carefully placed in box under tree. On Christmas day they drove to church and wobbled in on their first high heels. After church, Mom would cook but first Dad had to make his trip to ? and returned home with young men who couldn't make it home for Christmas. Some were Army men, some Marines. Coated candlesticks with a little oil. Candles reflected on the china. Got to know special guests better. Dad returned men to USO and wished them good luck. Hope their visit with them made their holiday a little better. My little girl...I am proud... (couldn't hear too much--sorry)

Homeless...not quite as bad as some families. We didn't have to live on the streets because father had a car and they lived in it. Worked fine in the summer but not in the winter. Father usually found some place to stay in the winter. Father found place to stay in a motel in return for doing rent. Bedroom for her brother and herself to share and a room for the parents. For a few months it was their home. Christmastime--no money but at least a roof over the heads. Mother loved the holidays. She always did her best to make the holidays the best she could. This Christmas would be no different. Found her mother making paste out of flour and water. When asked why she said she was making decorations. Sat on floor and began work and mother told story of how she got her name, Carol. Sang carols while they cut and pasted paper to make a paper chain. Made one out of newspaper, then a box. Made a manger out of brown paper grocery bag. Sang songs. Hours later there was a knock. When opened the door saw lights, then large black garbage bag--no one there. She peeked. Held ingredients for Christmas dinner and gifts. Father watched tv and mother went to kitchen to put away food items. Never found out who left the bag but she knew that God had a hand in it. Her mother lost her battle with breast cancer this year. (sounds like she's crying)

Hey Everyone! I was there last night in the beautiful Fox Theater and, for once, in my home town!! It was wonderful!! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/marilyon/EMOTICONS/wow.gif) That fourth story was a real "tear jerker"! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/marilyon/EMOTICONS/crybaby2.gif) Clay was . . . well, what more can I say that hasn't been said . . . he was CLAY . . . In all his glory, voice of perfection (poor guy, I think he prays every time he has to sing "All is Well" ;) ) It was awesome!!
Those of you who are awaiting your show, enjoy!! I will be in DC on Sunday (with my bosses - (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/marilyon/EMOTICONS/blush2.gif) - which should be interesting), but the seats will not compare!! Last night I had front row behind the orchestra pit! A first for me!! (I took a co-worker who thoroughly enjoyed it and dragged 2 sisters, who grumbled, but I think they also enjoyed it). Sat by Terry (leveland) and Nicole (hnl97).
