This concert is now up on Ticketmaster! 8) The presale is this coming Wednesday, 4/21/10 at 10 a.m.!!! I'm still undecided as to whether I will be driving down to Indiana to attend this concert.

I spoke with starfishy and although she had a miserable and stressful train trip, she made it to Hammond!!!!
She's waiting for a shuttle from the train station to the casino. They run every 1/2 hour - as she was speaking to the shuttle lady, she was asked if she was here to see those "American Idol Guys" - she said yes. The lady said she didn't think anyone would go and see them, but it's been CRAZY! The shuttles are PACKED!!! Starfishy told her that they've been playing sold out venues, and the lady said "oh, you're a fan?" and starfishy, of course, said YES!!!!

This is hard for me....I could have been at this venue as it is just a few hours away, but I opted for just one this tour, and had a great time there!!!
Not to be negative...but I hope Ethel doesn't "interrupt" the show.

I think I have been to this casino before just to check it out. From the pics you can see the city. The day after I went to Chicago for the day stopped by there on the way back to Merrillville IN where I saw Clay at the JBT. I believe it's own by Trump.
Totally agree abouut Ethel but won't be surprised if Clay at least speaks to her once.

I have never been to this venue, but my son has been to this casino. ;) I am so surprised at the difference in the sizes of the venues on this tour.
OH, the 70s! My favorite song of Clay's is in this set, just LOVED the way he sang More Than a Feeling!!!

I know. Me too but it seems the venues for the casinos were a little smaller some people sat close together. I was glad I got to see them in indoor theaters this time with the AC on. ;D I loved where I saw them in Lancaster on Sunday. Wish Clay could play there again someday. It was perfect.
My favorite is the 80's. 70's 2nd. He kills it on MTAF. Just Wow! Wish he could see the full version.

Clay talking about variety shows and that yesterday they realized that all of those old variety shows had theme songs ... mentioning that he, Clay is a singer, and Ruben is an artist and they need to create a theme song and who better to write it than Ruben, and and they should get the audience to help .... looking for names for the show ...

All the blood have rushed from my brain to my legs. We've tried for a long time to put together a show - but it's been kind of tough.
Talking about variety shows. They were opposites. Donny & Marie. Sonny & Cher, quite different there. Peaches and Herb - one was a fruit one was an herb. Lots of laughing. I think Clay's laughing. he said that's us and they're still laughing.
Our tribute to variety shows. Here comes the theme song. Here comes Donny & Marie - here comes hee haw. Clay just said he can talk a lot, and on occasion I can be funny. I'm a singer, Ruben is an artist - I just sing, Ruben creates.
I talked to the band during rehearsal - we need a theme song, and who better to write it than Ruben. The audience should help out because they have supported us.
Raise your hand - need an idea for a name. "They don't make them like you no more". Anyone else - there's a shocker - "Salt and Pepper". One more. "It's About Damn Time". Now a genre - he likes It's About Damn Time.
Musical style - no rap. Lady in the back with an extremely long arm - what's your idea. Polka. Lots of laughing. Polka? No. Stripes - Regae.
It's About Damn Time - Reggae. Here they go!!!

People started leaving before TOML, Clay caught them and they stopped leaving.
Ethel came up and wanted an autograph on her shirt. Does this look like a meet and greet?

I agree Marilyn. I've talk with her a few times in the OFC chat room and she was nice and friendly. And Tracy my friend that you saw me with in NY she went to the Newark, NJ concert at SRIAHP and Ethel was there too. I remember Clay called her out a few times to like act like a bodyguard or something but what I didn't know was he got mad at her for something. I heard she got to go up to the buses to talk with him but never knew was it was about. Just thought it was to chit chat. LOL But anyway Tracy told me the reason was he got mad at her for something and wanted to talk with her about it. That was interesting to hear.
And you know in NY the McV's girls sat in front of me. They can be annoying at times but during the concert they didn't call out to Clay or Ruben. At least they were respectful to them in that regard. But I don't get it though that Clay wants to give them special treatment or any other fan for that matter if he has. He got to have a little fun with them. They told me. Anyway, that's a whole other subject all together and it's differant then what Ethel did.
But back to Ethel, I would never ask for an autograph during the show. Gheesh! Totally rude and disrespectful. Go Ruben for telling her this isn't a Meet and Greet!
Yes for for clack on everything!!! I really want a DVD of the whole concert. If you know of anyone that has made one or is making one please let me know.
