Since they don't post here anymore, Tammy told me on Facebook her and Lorraine are going to try to go to this one.  :) Not sure about Linda. Think Angela and maybe Sasha too.

I love this venue however I didn't like the people who worked there. Seen David Cook there last year. Not sure how it's gonna be for this tour but there's a huge gab from the stage to front row and they let the first 5 rows move by the stage but like I said I don't know how it will be for this show.

Gals,  I had hoped to do the concert red reports here tonight...however, I'm not at home...and I've not been able to join the wireless network off site.  I'm sorry...and I hope someone will be able to 'sub' in for Marilyn and Tiffany.

I can at least bring over RED from CV. Don't have a link to the CH.

Unless otherwise noted, all reports are from DancesOfSpirit

Here we go ... the face off starts!

Absolutely thundrous applause!!!!! as Clay enters!!!!!!

Audience sounds EXTREMELY excitable tonight!!!

The sound beautiful together. Ruben asking how everybody is doing. Clay asking Ruben how he is doing and telling audience they are glad they are there tonight. Ruben saying how he's glad to have the best opening act in the business. Then Clay reminds him that he came out first, and Ruben reminds him, "No, Clay you came out first." Great audience response. Talking about similarities and like of music.... Tina Turner for Ruben, Andy Williams for Clay ....Ruben says they should just sing as much as they can starting with the 60's.... usual discussion.

Suspicious Minds .... caught in a trap.... I can't walk out.  .... sort of like being a fan of cutiepie .... oh, and what a lovely trap it is...

Clay saying something about there's just something about Connecticut. Ruben says he doesn't want to argue with him tonight. Clay asks what if the script calls for it. Ruben just want to mellow out ... laughing with each other .... I'm going to wait until the Midnight Hour.... Up on the Roof ...

Sugar Pie Honeybunch .... Cryin over you ....

Ain't no mountain high enough to keep us from getting to him.

Exchange going on with member of the audience ... Clay asking her how much she paid for her front row seat. I think she said $650 .... and she may have said it was a present. He said he wouldn't pay that much to see himself. Can't hear everything.... Now, Casey doing her song Natural Woman.

Still the One....

Ruben leading up to the Marvin Gaye segment with how he listened to him as a kid, etc.

Uncle Ruben tell me about the 70's. Talking about Clay respecting his elders, cause Ruben is 7 weeks older.

Night Fever.... Ain't no stopping us now, we've got the groove... Oh What a Night..

Quiana On The Radio

1, 2 3, 4.... 1, 2, 3, 4 ... Clay having to get some soul power

Don't go breaking my heart ....

More than a feeling....

September

Stool banter taking place

A lot of screaming for some reason??? Then I hear Clay saying "Not as much as you love alcohol."

Great audience response on Peaches & Herb

Mandy

Quiana singing I'm Every Woman

Revival Time !!!! Sister Parler talking/shouting![

There was no kiss, but Clay was stalking Casey across the stage.

He had holes in the knees of his jeans.

When they were talking about the 70s, Clay said something like, "I have no problem getting it," and Ruben lost it. Then Clay said something like, "Are you going to let that one go, or do you want to follow up on it?"

The crowd was into it and having a lot of fun.

Great crowd - nice mix of people - though Robyn thought they were all maybe not on boards fans but fans and Ruben had some fans there as well.

No mosh pit.

He said the 'F' word when speaking with a couple that paid $600.00 for tickets. They couldn't remember in what context.

No Kiss but he did stalk her across the stage.

Great response - didn't stand apparently until Footloose though.

Same outfit for the 90's.

Clay seemed to breaking the band and Ruben up tonight during the Pastor skit. They couldn't make out why exactly - something about what he was saying?

I think that was it?

According to quietline at the CH he was commenting on the people in the front row who paid $600 per ticket and turned to the band saying they paid "$600 frell dollars per ticket "

from RICLAYFAN:

I was there and pretty close--he really mouthed the "F" word--didn't say it out loud.

I was there too, and he DID NOT say the word out loud.

I will comment that people didn't stand much at all and it seemed like that was the right thing to do in this venue. LOTS of high rollers down front (not front row as much as the 3 behind them, or at least that was my perception from waaaayyyy back in the orchestra). My friend and I headed out immediately at the end of the show (as I had this need to pee since the 70's a bathroom was a FIRST priority!). We opted to head out into the casino to find a less crowded bathroom (big mistake). The positive on this? We got to see a LOT of NJU people in our travels and they were ALL loving the show! I didn't hear a single bad word about the show. Even my friend, who is also a NJU, loved it enough to go again. That's saying something! Overall a GREAT night! WISH I could go again....but at least I have Foxwoods to remember!

We had a great time (DH, granddaughter and myself) last night at Foxwoods. The concert was awesome. At first around 7:45 the floor was not even half full but by 8:00 the place was packed. The place went wild when Ruben came out but when Clay came out it went crazy wild. Before the show I had to tell DH who Ruben was so he would have an understanding of what the banter was all about. He laughed over all the banter. He's taken granddaughter and me to 5 of the tours and JBT05 was the only one he really liked but this one ranked up there with JBT. Everytime I looked at the jumbotron I glanced at him and he was laughing and bouncing his leg and feet to the music. He said he liked the 60's the best of the decades. There was so much excitement in the place that it was contagious. You could tell everyone was having a ball.

Going to hate to see this next week end. I'm going to miss the 1st hour of the cellcert tonight.

Hi tsunamimommy, I think I saw you a couple of rows behind us, I didn't get a chance to come and say hi. The concert was absolutely fantastic and Clay mouthed the "F" word and didn't actually say it. He gave the couple in the front row a hard time because the gentleman had supposedly fallen asleep and Clay went after him for doing that and than said how much did you pay for those tickets, and when the gentleman said either $600 or $650, I am not sure which, Clay said I wouldn't even pay that much to see me. During the whole evening he and Ruben would look over at that couple and said little asides, it was very funny! Everyone that was there loved it and there was a lot of clapping and enthusiasm for everyone on stage. Clay looked wonderful and sounded great! Ruben did a wonderful job and was so funny in the Pastor skit, Clay kept making him laugh and the facial expressions were priceless. I know that there had to be a lot of things going on up on the stage that we couldn't hear because the band was breaking up too! A lot of men in the audience completely enjoying themselves! I don't know how they do that show as often as they do and not loose their voices because they are on stage so much and either talking or singing! The girls were great too and Clay didn't kiss Casey last night, but he kept looking at her...it was really cute! I was with my sister, who is not a big Clay fan, but loves his music and absolutely loved the concert! !

I put my own Foxwoods recap in the recap thread.

LOVED the show, and it was so good to see Sasha, Tammy, Angela, Lorraine and Pam, along with a friend and two hubbies. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner and chitchat, and Juniors cheesecake after the show!!
