Morning.

Been on the phone for over an hour with insurance company, union, schho, district and whoever trying to straighten out my vision benefits so we can get new glasses.  I am beyond frustrated.  Omg.

So, Tom is watching clack?  I wonder if he is watching these scenes with Clay in them.  It is clack?  Want to know.

Today is Barry's birthday.  We have an appointment today and then out to dinner with friends later.

Would be great if this glasses thing would get settled.

Good Afternoon!

Today is Glory's birthday.  I've started a thread for her in CLAY DAILY.  I hope you will take a moment and post birthday wishes to Glory.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GLORY!

Well, I am back -- at least for a while.  The fellow that came here said I had a problem with my modem.  He didn't replace it so I'm not sure how long it will last.

I don't always post every day, but when you can't do it (or even come read) it seems like I was cut off from the outside world.

Micki -- I am so glad you are back home and are feeling better.  Hopefully, if you do have to have surgery, it will be something that will make you feel better and won't keep you down very long.  Take care of yourself.

Marilyn -- Good Grief, I wish you could bottle that energy and send it my way.  I have had a little more energy lately--may have been too much medicine.

Gwenn -- you are one very busy lady, always doing something.  Good for you.

Glory -- Have a very Happy Birthday.

Thea -- what a great honor to conduct the musical group at such a very important function.  I know you did great.

I also watched some Clack this weekend since I didn't have a computer.  Always a treat.

Just saw Michael Jackson's children on ET.  The two oldest are very nice looking kids and seem pretty smart.  They certainly had a very different early life, but they seem to be thriving now.  The youngest is still very quiet.

Time to go fix me a bite to eat -- and it is cold here.  I don't like this time either--I'll never get home before dark until spring comes again.

See you later.

Good evening, my dear CM friends.

This has been a very difficult day for me, as in all likelihood will be the rest of the week.  No need to go into detail. I'm sure a few of you can fill in the blanks.  ;)   I'm whipped and plan to zone out in front of the TV for the next hour or   so.

At least the weather will be gorgeous and early fall-like for the next few days.

One good thing I heard yesterday.....DIL reports that the baby kicked for the first time!   ;D

Thanks for your kind words about my experience in choral conducting this weekend.  It's just nice to know that I haven't totally lost my musical abilities.

Hugs and good night.

Thea, I'm thinking of you.

Gwenn, I don't know how you do it.  You never sit still.  Good for you!

Barb, glad your computer is up and running.  We miss you when you're not here.

Here's wishing everyone a great day!

Thanks, MICKI!  Thinking of you, too!  Are you taking it easy now that you're home?  You had better, young lady!  (((m)))

Gorgeous fall day.  Sunny and high in mid-60's.  We really should put up the Christmas lights today, but instead we're going to move the deck furniture and planters into the garage.  By the end of the week it will be snowing.

Taking my mother out to lunch, then to the doctor and then to pay some of her bills.  Tomorrow will be going to the Social Security Administration 20 miles away to change her direct deposit and then to the infamous DMV to have her State ID card changed to reflect her new address.

Well, Mr. Aiken, you need to do SOMETHING so that we'll have SOMETHING to talk about Clay-wise!

Have a good one!

I'm not around much , but I heard from KERA today and wanted to give you all a heads up about the December TNT showing. There will be sales of tickets for Clay's Grand Prairie Concert at that time and the possibility of M&G's. Nothing is finalized as far as Cost and Seats and they don't know about the M&G's. My hope is they will have M&G's to offer, especially for those fans that have never had one.

We will be showing the Clay Aiken special again on
Saturday Dec. 4th and need volunteers to help answer
the phones from 6pm to around 11pm. We'd love to have members of his fan club again!
We will be offering tickets but I do not have all the details
for that yet (pledge amount, seat location, etc.)
They should have all that in place this time
by the time we show the program.

NOTE from AUNTDEMENTIA:
If you volunteered last time, there is no need to fill out the application again. They have it on file, just email or call Barbara.(phone and email addy at top of post)

Since THE AIRING is on a Saturday, I’m hoping we get some out of town volunteers! I have hope the seats will be great and as volunteers we get first dibs at buying them. And there MAY BE M&GS’SO IF YOU HAVEN'T HAD ONE THIS could be the OPPORTUNITY you have been waiting for. Nothing finalized, so Please don't call and ask about the tickets, they will let us know as soon as it is signed on the dotted line. I have bothered them enough to last them a lifetime. I'm surprised they are still speaking to me. : )

Thanks.

ETA: This post may travel. In fact, if someone would post it at the CB, I would appreciate it. And anywhere else Texans live and post.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I just came back from our Fall potluck here at work and whew! I am stuffed like a fat turkey ;D

I probably should've worn spandex pants because now my stomach feels so full, I feel like my button is going to pop off my pants. haha..

I ended up making my sweet potatoe casserole and a Southwestern pork soup from leftover pork carnitas. I had to wing the recipe because when I went to the store last night to buy the ingredients, I had forgotten to take the recipe with me. So I bought what I thought from memory and just threw it all in my crockpot. Well I guess it turned out alright because people liked it.

Its a nice day here today but chilly. I'm wanting to curl up in my blanket and pillows too when I get home but I don't think Ava is going to let me. She's my little energizer bunny. I think she would be able to keep up with Gwenn and Marilyn more than I can. :D

Thea~How exciting! Well once the baby starts kicking though, it will be a symphony for a while for your DIL.

I better go make coffee or I'll pass out here at work from all that food I ate.

I'm looking forward to hearing stories from people who are going to the TNT concert tour and hopefully we hear some more new stuff regarding Clay.

Jules

Seriously, though.  MARILYN, thanks for that information.  I'll bet that PRISSY and JOANN from the OCD might want to volunteer for phone duty in Dallas.  Joann has already done it once and apparently had a blast!

To look at me, you may be wrong. I've been through this--it made me strong.

EVENING LADIES.  I RALIZED I HADN'T CHECKED IN ALL DAY.

JULES--I HAVE BEEN EATING LIKE A PIG AND MUST STOP.  I BET YOU DIDN'T EAT AS MUCH AS YOU THINK.

THEA---OY.   <<<T>>>

MICKI=--SO GLAD YOU CHECKED IN.  OUR CONVERSATION REALLY SOUNDED LIKE YOU ARE ON THE MEND.

ANYONE WHO COULD VOLUNTEER  IN DALLAS WOULD BE A GOOD THING.  I ONLY WISH THIS STUPID PHILLY STATION WOULD AIR THE SHOW FOR GOD SAKE.

HAD A NICE DAY.  LUNCH AND A MOVIE.  SAW FOR COLORED GIRLS.  THE ACTING WAS SUPERB.  SUCH INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCES.  TO ME THE THEME WAS HOW WOMEN ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE ABUSED IN SO MANY WAYS BECAUSE OF LOW SELF ESTEEM.  I THINK IT IS A UNIVERSAL THEME NOT JUST "FOR COLORED GIRLS."  THE CHARACTERS RANGED IN AGE FROM 18 TO PROBABLY MY AGE.  CANNOT SINGLE OUT ANY LONE ACTRESS AS TOPPING OTHERS.  WHOOPI WAS PROBABLY THE WEAKEST BUT HER CHARACTER WAS SO CREEPY.  VERY INTERESTING AND HARD TO WATCH IN SOME PLACES.  BUT IN THE END, YOU SEE HOW WE AS WOMEN ARE SO IMPORTANT TO EACH OTHER.

GOTTA GO GET  UNDRESSED AND RELAX.  I AM BEAT.  SPENT 2 DAYS FIGHTING WITH INSURANCE COMPANY BUT WON.   ;D ;D ;D

Hi GWENN.  You were missed today!

I was curious about "For Colored Girls".  I tend to like Tyler Perry's work, so I might check this one out.  Not a fan of Whoopi Goldberg, though.  Sorry, fans.

This was another rough day.  "Oy" says it all for right now.

Watching "Glee".  Yes, once again I am reminded that Clay needs to make a guest appearance on that show.
