Good Afternoon! It is VERY quiet here without the boys. The Groomer is going to bring them home - she needed to come into town - so I do not have to drive back out to the lake (about 20 miles).
Betty - have fun celebrating Cornina's birthday this weekend. I am very sad for Shirl, too. Seeing Clay means so much to her - she is just afraid to get so far from home - afraid of another health crisis.
Sharon - glad that you got some good news. As Betty said, we are just going to have to keep the prayers going for your complete recovery.
ana - hope your dentist appointment is going well.
Prissy - did you see that Clay said that Dallas is on the Tour schedule? No date or venue yet, though.
Thea - you Mom might find a boyfriend - or more. When I worked at the nursing home we had a wedding - and the kids of the bride and groom were not happy!
Glory - I will pray that Marilyn finds her dog - I remember well that awful night that Tuffy was missing. Marilyn just lost her beloved Aunt, too - I hope she is O.K.
I've been meaning to ask - has anyone here heard from Kelly? She sent me a birthday card back in May, and I wrote to her - haven't heard anything since - not like her at all!
I just got my Clay DVD in the mail - think I will go watch it while I wait for the boys to get home.

Happy Friday all!
Duds, thanks for the great Shirley news!!:)
Frankie, Kirk not impressed with Ruben, but was blown away by Clay's vocals.
Betty thanks for your recap. Dancing, yep we probably would have been!
Joyce, did you go to any other shows besides Jax?
JoAnn, I'm so excited for you and can't wait to hear about your experience.
Have a great weekend all.
xoxoxo

Hello, Jayne - glad to hear that Kirk likes Clay. Hope you both have a great weekend.
Betty - I talked to Shirl twice this evening. She is a little down, and I don't blame her - the 16 friends from her Clay group are all in Reno tonight. I so wish she could have gone. But she is already looking forward to the next Tour beginning in January - looks like lots of California locations, plus Orlando, where her Sister lives.
Pepe - I hope you do get to come back here this weekend. Last night Lewis went out to collect eggs (waits until the chickens have gone to roost so he doesn't get pecked). When he walked out our bedroom door, there were 2 racoons and a possum sitting in the pear tree eating pears! With the squirrels and crows eating them during the day, we probably won't get one pear. That is today's report from what Lewis calls the funny farm.
The boys look cute from their grooming - of course the first thing they did when they got home was to go get into the pond while I was watering flowers
At least they just walked in the water - they did not get into the mud!
I will check in as I can this weekend. It is going to be so hot that Lewis plans to spend a lot of the weekend getting his continuing education for the year (12 hours) on line. So he will be using the computer a lot.
I still have not watched the DVD - too much real life - guess that will be what I do tomorrow!
Good night and sweet dreams, everyone.
EDIT - I forgot to say that some of Shirl's friends have gotten the DVDs they got by donating to the Public Broadcasting station in Chicago - Shirl has been told that that DVD is different from the one sold to us by Amazon, but she hasn't yet learned how it is different - she will find out later, after her friends get home from Reno.

Good early morning,
I had root canal yesterday, crown fitting on the tenth and one tooth will be extracted on the 23rd of next month. The root canal lasted for 45 minutes which isn’t bad and I had a horrible headache the whole time. I took Motrin as soon as I got home and fill asleep. When I woke up (thirty minutes later) headache was gone.
I also saw a specialist to see if I am a candidate for implant (really don’t want it but wouldn’t hurt to find out) To make a long story short, I did not qualify as the gum in my mouth has thinned, I could however remove a bone from my hip or jaw
transplant it in my mouth wait six months for it to grow and then the implanting begins. I told the specialist that there is no possible way that I would do it. The removing of a bone alone is enough to give me a mini stroke.
Frankie
, I watched the DVD last night for the third time with my husband…he sat and was quiet the whole time, when it was over I asked him how he like it? Very clean and nice was his respond. He likes Ruben more than Clay and he praised him and thought his vocal has improved. BTW, I feel very bad for Shirl and I pray she will be healthy enough to see Clay next year.
Miss
Betty
, Sunshine thank you for the cuddles you sent. The Vaseline is really working, I still see ants around it but they won’t get any closer. I may rub some more Vaseline on the feeder tomorrow.
Thea
, I remember when you mentioned that root canal isn’t that bad except the opening of our mouth, I worry about that as it is hard to keep our mouth open for a long period. My dentist placed a square rubber on my mouth with clips and it keeps my mouth open the whole time.
Pepe
, I hope you’ll be coming home this weekend…visit us when possible, we all miss you.
Sharon
, I was posting at the same time you posted yesterday, I was going to reply but didn’t have time. Keep the positive attitude and remember we are always here to give ears.
Miss
Carol
, good to see you…visit us often.

Can’t sleep, I either over medicated myself
or too much caffeine.
I was way ahead of myself…I thought last night was JoAnn’s meet and greet.
I’m going to make some more coffee, clean a little and perhaps read a book.

Good Morning ana and Sharon - everybody else must be sleeping in (they don't have Jack).
ana - glad to hear your root canal is over - sounds like it wasn't too bad. I am going to get to that DVD today!
Sharon - I love chocolate milk - think I will have a big glss with one of Jeanne's chocolate donuts. EDIT - The boys look so cute - the groomer said she doesn't even mind Tuffy being grouchy with her because he is so cute (he doesn't like it when she cuts around his face). I am hoping their trims will help them feel better in this weather. I will try for a photo, but they do not like having their picture taken - they do not trust the camera, so they never smile.
Happy Saturday, everyone! See you later.....................

Good Afternoon!
JoAnn just called from Reno. (Two hour time difference.) There are no computers in the lobby so she asked me to post for her. The Silver Legacy is an older hotel/casino but nice.
She left yesterday morning and with her extra miles was able to fly first class to Reno. She said they were served a nice breakfast on the plane. She took a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. She has a very nice corner room with views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains from both sets of windows. The room has a 42" flat screen TV on the wall, mini frig, king side bed, two setting areas, a spa tub, and a huge 5' by 5' shower.
She does have coffee in her room but some of the rooms do not have coffee.
Sandy, (who we both know from Grand Prairie), was on her plane and is staying at the hotel. JoAnn, Sandy, and two others had lunch at their hotel yesterday and did some walking around. The Silver Legacy is connected to Circus Circus and the El Dorado hotels. In the Silver Legacy is a 3 story silver mine (I think that's what she said) with a dome that runs a slide show of happenings. JoAnn took a picture of the Clay and Ruben, July 31 announcement.
Sherry is the new Clay friend from California that JoAnn is sharing her M & G package with. They met yesterday and had dinner at the hotel that evening.
This morning JoAnn had breakfast in the hotel: eggs, bacon, hash browns!! She said it was 64 degrees this morning but should get up to 90 degrees this afternoon. She has seen Casey, the new singer, a few times at the hotel.
At 5 pm, she can get her tickets, and at 6 pm, the backstage tour with Jerome and then the M&G with Clay and Ruben. She has her camera just in case that is what they use for the pictures.
She has been in the ballroom that will be set up for the concert and it is an intimate(smallish) room, so everyone should have a good view. I think it is called Grand Expedition.
She is having a good time and looking forward to this evening. She has a few things to ask Clay and will ask about a new tour and coming to Dallas.
I am going to get ready here shortly to go play in a wedding. JoAnn may call me when I return if she has time between the M&G and the show.
Hugs to all,
Prissy
PS: Yes, I took notes during her call!! My memory is not that great!! LOL
Also, she said there are pictures of Clay and Ruben everywhere!!
I asked about slot machines; she has played the penny slot machines!!! No big wins or losses!
