How many concerts...it's really amazing :wow
I wish I could go to a Clay concert, but I live now more thousand miles away... I'm sure that once I"ll have the time and the money, it will be my first thing to do.
I want to go so desperately :cry

Hello!
Cleo,
I'm sorry you have not been able to see Clay in concert. I've seen him 15 times. The lady I sat next to in Wichita last week has been to 30 concerts. She knows someone who has been to 50 concerts.
And there are many who have not been to any.
My husband and I are both retired, so that does make it easier to travel to concerts. And if one is in driving distance, that's how we go.
This thread is just a way for some of us to keep up with the concerts we have seen. I have to look at my list in order to remember where all I've seen Clay. And it is fun to see where others have been, too.

Marilyn,
You should put "read my story" or something like that by the cities where you got to read your story!! What a great Clay tour this was for you!

Many of you are getting to see Clay in SPAMALOT. Though not a Clay concert, I think SPAMALOT should be added to the concert lists!!

I'm reviving this thread for all of you who saw Clay in SPAMALOT the first run and his second run. And some of you went to a GALA/Fund Raiser to with Clay recently.
I thought you may want to update your lists. Sadly, my last Clay concert was the Christmas Concert in Wichita and I missed his SPAMALOT performances.

Oooooh! I don't think I've ever posted my concert list here before! :bouncy (If I have I can't remember! :lol )
I read a little way back and I'm just in awe of everyone's lists! :clap
I don't know whether to be happy for you all or extremely jealous! :wink
I've seen Clay 5 times, and I'm so thankful for each time I did. :bigsmile Nothing could ever take the place of those special memories. :sigh (Of course I've never had a chance to meet him or touch his hand, but I'm hoping someday. :cross )
And I know I'd never have seen the beautiful venues without him, especially the theatres. :clap
Independent Tour
March, 22 2004 - United Center, Chicago IL
(My first ever concert!!!)
Solo Tour
August, 23 2004 - Metro Center, Rockford IL
JNT
December, 20 2004 - Chicago Theatre, Chicago IL
JNT2
November, 22 2005 - Chicago Theatre, Chicago IL
Christmas in the Heartland Tour
November, 29 2007 - Genesee Theatre, Waukegan IL
Then for anyone who's interested, :bigsmile I saw the Idol Tour the year Carrie Underwood won, at the United Center in Chicago August, 8 2005
and I saw Daughtry & Bon Jovi, also at the United Center on February, 26 2008. :bouncy
(And I had tickets to see Clay's Not a Christmas Tour, on December, 1 2006 at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, and to see the Idol Tour with David Cook at the All State Arena in Rosemount IL on July, 19 2008, but snow & rain storms kept me away from those. :sigh )

It's been a Clay drought since Nov., 2007 for me. I did get to go to the Champions of Change Gala in October, so I am reviving our Clay concert list. If you've been to the Galas, you may want to go back and find your list and update it.
Here is my list:
AI2 Tour:
Dallas, TX - Aug. 19, 2003
Independent Tour:
Grand Prairie, TX - March 19, 2004
Solo Tour:
Houston, TX - Sept. 7, 2004
Grand Prairie, TX - Sept. 8, 2004
Hutchinson, KS - Sept. 10, 2004
Charlotte, NC - Oct. 16, 2004
Joyful Noise Tour:
Phoenix, AZ - Dec. 29, 2004
Jukebox Tour:
Atlanta, GA - Aug. 2, 2005
Greenville, SC - Aug. 3, 2005
Cary, NC - Aug. 5, 2005
Joyful Noise Tour II
Kansas City, MO - Nov. 19, 2005 (I finally saw Clay at the buses and he touched my hand!)
An Evening With Clay Aiken Tour
Frisco, TX - July 4, 2007 ( I have a Meet and Greet!!!!!) :wheee
Houston, TX - July 6, 2007
Knoxville, TN - Aug. 12, 2007 (Great preparty with many Claymaniacs!)
Christmas Tour, 2007
Wichita, KS - Nov. 26, 2007
Champions of Change Gala
Raleigh, NC - Oct. 17, 2009
(It has been two years since a Clay concert!!)
All of these concerts were wonderful, but the week of traveling for Clay's Jukebox Tour was so much fun. Not only seeing Clay, but getting to meet so many fantastic Clay fans and Claymaniacs, too.
