Today's words of wisdom:
It's always better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

And now, not so new news, but a double hit nevertheless:

Aiken Pops Up on 'Ed'
Thursday, December 18 11:30 AM
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - As tensions are revving up for the newest installment of FOX's "American Idol," the two finalists of last season's edition are beginning to spread their acting weeks. On the same day that UPN announced that winner Ruben Studdard was set to appear as himself on an episode of "One on One," NBC announced that "Ed" scored the series acting debut from runner-up Clay Aiken.
Aiken will appear in a January episode of NBC's relationship dramedy. He'll play a singing star named Clay Aiken. Neither "Idol" finalists is ready to show off their Method acting chops just yet, apparently.
The network [has] yet to announce the date of Aiken's appearance nor the context in which Raleigh's native son will find himself in Stuckeyville.
One thing that's for certain is that no matter what Ed, Carol, Mike, Nancy or Warren do to Aiken, he'll be unfailingly polite. Earlier in the week, Aiken topped the list of 10 Best Mannered People of 2003 as determined by the National League of Junior Cotillions.
Aiken's debut album, "Measure of a Man" has been certified double-platinum.

Note: According to the fan club email, the episode will air January 23.

If you have the time to place an extra vote or two online for Invisible, we can continue to keep it on top of the chart! Invisible has been on TRL for 30 days and will be retired after 50 days. Remember there is a new sticky thread in the GOT CLAY forum for all TRL discussion now!
ThanX!
VOTE FOR INVISIBLE ON TRL!
You can vote on the Net or by phone (AI flashback!)
It's more effective to call in your votes if at all possible, because 1 phone call=50 online votes. Your phoned in votes count for the next day's show, and no calls are accepted on the weekends.
You can only call in thirty minutes prior to the show. TRL starts at 5pm EST, so that means you can call from 4:30pm-5pm EST, and then adjust for your time zone.
You can vote online all day, but you can only call in 3 times a day per phone line.
The phone number is 1-800-DIAL-MTV (1-800-342-5688)
Call 30 minutes prior to the show starting!
To vote online, go to TRL VOTE.
Vote online all day!
I think it's very important for Clay's video to get lots of airplay. It's a desirable demographic. Since MTV hardly ever shows videos anymore, outside of TRL, it's our best chance of seeing it, and it's our best opportunity to help Clay in this demographic.
Go to ABSOLUTE TRL for daily recaps!

Did you see the stripey jacket and the sideways sweater? Did you see Clay sneakin with Jimmy's girlfriend? Did you see Jimmy bare his belly to Clay the alpha male? You didn't? Well, now you can!
Clay and Britney on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
No, not again. Just the repeat in case you missed it the first time. It re-airs on December 30.

One of my favorites. I play it over and over to watch Clay handle Kimmel. Clay ruled!!!!! Loved the outfit!
My only regret is that I don't have superhearing. Clay said "He can't help being..." and DLs mouth drops open, but Kimmel is saying something at the same time and I couldn't hear what the end of that sentence is that made DLs mouth drop. Something definitely snarky, I'll bet.
LOVE that interview for how he handled Kimmel and Britney!

Rumor? Gossip? Innuendo?
You might want to watch CNN or Headline News starting tomorrow afternoon. There is a possibility they will have a tiny bit of coverage of Clay's graduation and/or the BAF press conference.
And while on that subject, let's all hold hands and chant, sending good positive vibes to Clay and the rest of the graduating class of 2003 at UNC-Charlotte for a wonderful, meaningful, memory making (in a good way) graduation ceremony - unmarred by fans, fanatics or other various and sundry nut jobs.
ThanX!

Just read the topics for Dateline tonight. It did not mention Clay, however, it does mention singer, Ruben Studdard. Is Ruben going to be on Dateline and not Clay? Or are they doing a taped segment on Clay and Ruben?
